#Czechia experienced a major #blackout today, and the fake news scene was full of references to the #GreenDeal and ecocommunism. Eventually, two competing (and contradicting) theories emerged:

1) the grid went down because too much power from German wind farms was going to it.
2) the grid went down because it wasn't windy in Germany and too much of our energy was going there.

In the end, it turned out that the blackout was caused by a downed wire on the main power line. But who cares about the truth these days? 🤷‍♂️

Technically, it wasn’t a #blackout, meaning, that the power grid would collapse under the extreme demands of consumers. It was “just” malfunction of some component somewhere, but it lead to eight out of forty central distribution centres going off the grid, which was unpleasant.

@fivetonsflax @vaurora of course they were. Think of all the dozens of companies and the dozens of PR companies and the dozens of PR department all beavering away to punt lies into the Information vacuum immediately after the incident occurs.

Then of course by the time the truth actually comes out peoples minds have already been made up .
