I did some quick research about Apple Inc.'s financials earlier today and figured I might as well post it here before closing those tabs:

Market Capitalization (aka marketcap) is the value of one share of a company multiplied by the number of shares in existence.

Apple's marketcap is currently sitting around 3.358 Trillion USD [1].

For context, this is approximately 183% of the marketcap of Alphabet (Google), which is 1.835 Trillion [2], or roughly 216% the expected 2025 budget of the US military

[3]As of the end of Q2 2024 Apple had 25.565 Billion USD in cash or cash equivalents

Earlier this year the EU issued apple a fine of 1.8 Billion Euro (~1.98 Billion USD) for abusive practices

[1]Google just lost an appeal [2] for a fine of 2.4 Billion EUR (~2.65 Billion USD) which was originally issued in 2017.

Meanwhile, another case has been going on with Apple since 2016 concerning 13 Billion Euros (~14.35 Billion USD) in back taxes owed to Ireland
