Q: Do you at least not fiddle with cistomers' #eMails?

Cuz @protonmail does and that's a clear no-go for me and my workflow!

in reply to Kevin Karhan

@kkarhan @protonmail We don't have any access to your emails! If you don't wish to use the new email domain that is no problem. You can continue using your original email addresses in Tuta indefinitely.
in reply to Tuta

@protonmail The problem is more like "fiddling with the contents" or doing anything in transit.

Cuz I do #E2EE the way it's meant to be done aka. #SelfCustody of #Keys and not some #MITM'ing "Appliance"...

in reply to Tuta

you should be fair to your customers. Following your move to tuta.com means actual alias (@tutanota.com) emails will be obsolete.

Why do not offer a free transition from @tutanota.com / tuta.io ... to tuta.com?

"Be quick" do not sound as a customer benefit :blobcatglare:

in reply to whoami

@whoami The tutanota.com email addresses are not going to be obsolete. They will remain active and fully functional. You can continue creating email addresses with all of our domains, tuta.com is just the newest addition.
in reply to Tuta

yes, obsolete not inactive.

I've been looking for this move - simplification - from the very early beginning since I had to recognize that spelling [@tu-ta-no-ta.com] was not easy.

Now, I am happy to see that you will offer a simple and more common domain tuta.com but how do I transfer all my alias to this new domain easily?

What would be your recommendation?
Buy again 15 alias? Start with a new account? Move one by one alias to the new domain (deactive, new ...)?

@kopio The new tuta.com domain will be available to paying customers using one of our new subscription plans. It won't be possible to create a new free account using the new domain.
in reply to Tuta

@kopio this is not totally true... Premium customer since 2019, I do not need more than I pay and the premium fits me well. Yesterday I received the tuta mail about the possibility to get the tuta.com BUT it is only for the revolution and + subscription... The mail insists very aggressively to force me to upgrade to be able to have it... I cannot feel more disgusted by this miserable "marketing" . I would never imagine this company doing such blackmail to old paying customers.
