🚨We show how corporations have managed to obstruct social and environmental protection measures, such as a ban on short-distance flights in France, limits to mass tourism set by the Spanish island of Formentera or progressive healthcare system reforms in Slovakia. #corporatecapture
🔴 Our new report “30 Years of EU Single Market" shows:
1️⃣ The EU Commission receives on average about 400 corporate complaints about alleged violations of #SingleMarket law each year.
2️⃣ Corporate interests trigger the EU Commission into initiating investigations, which can evolve into infringement procedures, which deal with potential breaches of Single Market legislation. The EU Commission not only welcomes, but sometimes even solicits these complaints.
