This one is about the authors. because no one loves books and readers more than authors. especially not the CEO of Barnes & Noble.

in reply to amanda π bookishbrews.com • • •It's not fair to say that "businesses never have the people in mind" and it's not true. B&N is in emergency crisis mode right now. There is a real risk that B&N won't exist as a company in 2024. Think about all the employees up and down the company that will be impacted by that.
And think about the marginalized authors that will now be even more vulnerable to the whims of Amazon's black-box algorithms than they already are.
