I have a ~1.3TB dataset being synced. Minimum file size is 5GB, fwiw.

My database size (index-v2 directory) is 104M. The old one was 42M. That is a pretty big difference and I could see that scaling badly....

I manually stopped the Syncthing process and ran a vacuum on the database files which dropped it to 90M. Not a huge win, but it's something.

Syncthing on SQLite -- help test!

That’s probably caused by syncthing running SQLite in WAL mode. With WAL, SQLite synchronizes by sharing memory between processes (if needed) instead of using POSIX advisory locks (flocks) [which SQLite can also use].
