@auxonic no. In 2018 it was still the case. One still paid only 5% GST when ordering from Alberta to Quebec.

really? Huh. I know they changed some stuff about what constituted a presence in the province which triggered having to collect provincial tax. I used to order from a shoe store in Calgary (to ottawa) and they ended way back

I remember the whole HST stuff while in Vancouver, with its repeal. I remember saving PST ordering from Calgary. That was in 2011.

In Montreal this still worked out in 2018, saving 10 point of taxes. Same place.

@auxonic Apparently they changed the rules so the collected tax is based on the place of supply, which is where the goods are delivered.
