We don't deliberately "make things hard". We are a community open source project with limited resources. Some people want workflows as they've always been – some people want things to be massively simplified. We try to cater for all users but have our limits. Please consider helping the volunteers that give you a free office suite, to improve the features and documentation you use. Thank you!

We understand, but we can't make features happen by magic, no matter how many people request them. We're a volunteer-driven project with very limited resources. Anyone can step up to help us, or fund developers: documentfoundation.org/certifi… – If just a few people do that, we'll get all these improvements, and more!
