LibreOffice reshared this.

Please push these into Debian, at least Debian Testing. Thank you!
in reply to Jeff McNeill

@jeffmcneill Hi! We don't maintain the Debian package repositories, but you can get .deb files from our website.
in reply to LibreOffice

Yep, but why not? If you have deb files, should be straightforward, so that everyone using APT gets the greatness that is your latest.
in reply to Jeff McNeill

@jeffmcneill If we start to maintain Debian's own repositories then in fairness to other distros, we'd be expected to maintain their's too, and with so many distros it'd be a lot of work (and we have very limited resources). In most cases upstream developers (like us) work on the software, and the individual distribution maintainers look after their repositories.
in reply to LibreOffice

Well, Debian is the upstream for more distributions than any other. In any case, the 7.6.2 is the latest in Debian Testing. Good enough.

I just donated via Liberapay. Unfortunately you've only enabled Paypal as a transaction provider, which does not respect privacy.
in reply to Jeff McNeill

@jeffmcneill Thanks very much! 😊 We'll look into enabling other payment options in our Liberapay account too...

I am using 7.6.2.1 and update checker says it is up to date 🙄
in reply to Can Baysal

@pegdhcp We need to wait for the mirrors to settle first and can then enable the update checker.
in reply to LibreOffice

This update was totally unexpected. But yeah, it was smooth as usual. Thank you team.
