Been using #Thunderbird as my email client on the Work Mac for the past couple of weeks, and while it doesn’t look as polished as Outlook, it’s certainly less fucky.
However, the nature of it means that it’s inherently adjustable, which also means that a number of things that really ought to be toggles are things you have to adjust using code.
And why does the Sent folder sort by oldest at the top, with no apparent way to change it?

And to sort the Sent folder (or any folder) by date, you can use the 'Message List Display Options' in the upper right hand corner of the main window to change how messages are sorted.
