Wow, can't even follow any of the convention hash tags with the cake as it says no search results for either #NFB25 #ACB25 or #ACB2025 I literally did the #NFB25 tag in a post, then did a search for that tag, no results. Nice, and definitely broken
works for me. I think it is not just a matter of your client, but your instance. they federate and index hashtags differently. I have a timeline of 67 #nfb25 tagged posts on mastodon starting with your most recent one, going right back to last July ending Nfb24.
you can also follow any hashtag from your own instance on the web, such as by going to mastodon.stickbear.me/tags/nfb…. I'm not logged in on there so I don't get the option but if I visit that page on my own instance, there's a "follow hashtag" button just beneath the level 1 heading. This will add those posts to your home timeline on Tweesecake and any other app, I presume. Or, of course, you can have an open search for the hashtag in the client, which updates separate to your home buffer.
Welcome to the bear's den. This server is a drama free zone, follow the rules and you'll be fine. Admins have final say, don't be a problem and we won't have to drop the hammer!
:) the fediverse is a really cool place to hang out, happy to help. I really like having a time line composed of both people and hashtags, you see a lot of cool content this way.
