While attending #NFB25, I learned that Meta’s Meta Quest apparently has a screen reader now. No idea how well it works or what apps support it, but the idea of having a screen reader in a VR device is really fascinating to me.

I'm very glad to know that you had access to a Mass at #NFB25. This was not the case for #ACB25 and so I had to take Lyft to a nearby chapel to attend Sunday Mass. I'm glad you were able to attend. Good for #NFB25!!!
I'm really grateful that there's been a Catholic Mass at convention these past few years. It was a beautiful way to start the final day here at #NFB25.

i’ve already had it once outside of any convention. Still not sure how I got it. And I’ve read that having it three or more times can screw with your heart anyway and I already have an underlying heart condition. From what I have heard, not very many people mask at Nfb and haven’t for a long time. Even when they tried to enforce it, it didn’t work very well. It’s sad but very few people, even in otherwise marginalized groups, care about people like us these days. #NFB25
So, was assured that, if I were to attend NFB convention in-person ever for the first time, I could be provided a fellow Covid-vulnerable mentor to help me navigate it as safely as possible. Since pretty much every year someone in my affiliate comes back with it, this provision was to be a “red line” for me. If this can happen, then, it looks like I might be going someday. #NFB25 So, in a prior post, I mentioned an app that would connect to the monarch display, and you could draw on your I device, and your picture would appear on monarch. I saw it today in the exibhit hall, and drew my signature. I did not know it looked so crazy on paper. We zoomed in to make it larger, and it looks more like a fancy design. That said... the e looked real good. *grin* The app is called wingit, monarch. Don't just type "wingit" by itself, because you will find anything accept the right app.

Tomorrow afternoon, the Resolutions Committee will meet to consider the 22 resolutions put forward this year, and determine which ones will make it to the convention floor. Adopted resolutions are the position statements of the convention, and reflect some of the things blind people are thinking about at present. It’s fascinating to review the resolutions that have been adopted over the years. They show us how much progress we’ve made, and how much is left to do. A new update to monarch. You can now use an app to draw on ipad and iphones. Creating tactile graphics and look at them on braille display. Also, crop mode will now automatically tetect tables and allow one to see them in spacial form. Also, spreadsheets will now allow clicking in a speciffic place for jumping. #NFB25
I’m now attending the vendor showcase. I’ve spoken to these many, many times, but I always like going because essentially, the exhibit hall comes to you, so you can hear about interesting items you might want to check out when the exhibit hall opens. And, I have the Zoom H6Essential plugged into the mixer, and we’ll run this on Access On as well if you couldn’t make it. Lots of very good tech intel here. #NFB25
Use Google AI studio to provide descriptions on a youtube video. Go to the site, aistudio.google.com. prompt the site. Example, Describe this video to a blind person. This is a game play by play. Give me as much detail as possible. Then, paste the url of the video. #NFB25

Wow, can't even follow any of the convention hash tags with the cake as it says no search results for either #NFB25 #ACB25 or #ACB2025 I literally did the #NFB25 tag in a post, then did a search for that tag, no results. Nice, and definitely broken
