Has anyone experienced #TalkBack failing to register a single-finger double tap, particularly when using the phone in one hand or tapping with the same finger used to swipe?

According to a post on AppleVis, a possible fix might be to turn off TalkBack's own gesture handling. But that also apparently disables multi-finger gestures, and over my dead body am I going back to drawing awkward shapes on the screen to carry out the simplest of tasks.

The problem is that you have to be extremely precise as to where you double tap. Voiceover compensates a little bit for the millimeter or two we might be off when we lift our finger to double tap. Talk back does not. This is why, in spite of the many improvements which have been made regarding Accessibility, I still cannot really in good conscience recommend android.

@cachondo I don't think I'm experiencing this, FWIW. Even when I use Explore by Touch, I don't have to double tap exactly on the item I want to activate. E.g. I can find Contacts in my home screen dock at the bottom, and then double tap successfully in the top half of the screen to open the Contacts app. It seems to work exactly like iOS in that regard. @technocounselor
