Short question about #nvda
Is there a short cut which speaks my row and column in a table I am currently in? Like it's displayed on the braille device?
#nvda
in reply to Jonathan

There doesn't appear to be currently.
NVDA+numpad delete (Report Caret Location)
NVDA+Tab (Report Focus)
or
NVDA+numpad5 (NVDA+shift+o) Report current navigator objects are all viale candidates. All give some info in Word or the web, but only give cell coordinates in Excel.

There are two similar open issues:

github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issue…

and

github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issue…

It would be worth commenting on those (or creating a new issue if you feel they don't quite fit).

@NVAccess Thank you a lot! Yeah I think these issues are simular to what I want as well. But the one is almost 10 years old isn't it?

I noticed that as well, & without much discussion so evidently not too many pushing for it. I must admit it surprised me, I thought one of those keys DID tell you the location, but maybe I've only looked into that in Excel previously and never checked on the web / in Word? Perhaps people are mostly happy having the coordinates read out while navigating and that is enough? From conversations people are usually more interested in column / row headers on the web than cell coordinates
