1st post of 2026!
The firmware from the Mobile ESPN version of the #Samsung SPH-A900 was dumped.
Being that only 2 phones were released on this short-lived MVNO, one can say that every Mobile ESPN device has been dumped!

Link on Dumbphone Repo as always:

A wallpaper taken from the firmware of the Mobile ESPN-branded Samsung SPH-A900 firmware.
The wallpaper is monochromatic, featuring various ESPN logos with a downwards shine on a black and grey gradient.
Hex editor screenshot of a Mobile ESPN-branded Samsung SPH-A900 firmware.
Some text visible in the screenshot says the following:
"Triage being done in GPS Mode? No such set %d srchtc_util.c Table size of 0 is inavlid!"
"May 22 2006 06:29:48 PLESPNA900 May 03 2005 12:00:00 A900.06 ES.A900"

How much reverse-engineering of those old phone OSes do you guys do, or do you just dump?

I'm particularly interested in how old, pre-QNX Blackberry's worked (on an OS architecture and protocol levels). They seem like absolutely fascinating devices, and very little is known about them compared to other contemporary OSes, E.G. Symbian or Windows Mobile.
