Hi, I am Stu Hughes. I am 24 years old, #blind, #neurodivergent, and live in the Northeast of #England. I used to be known on the internet as SeedyThreeSixty, or Seedy for short, hence why my main website's domain name is seedy.cc. My personal brand is Seediffusion, a mix of Seedy and Rediffusion.
Note: Stu Hughes is not my given name, it is a name I've chosen for myself as a replacement for my unwanted first and last name, which I never gave out online.
I love to play video games, especially retro games from the 90s and 2000s; my favourite genre is fighting games, especially #StreetFighterII! I basically love anything from the 2000s; it's my favourite decade.
I like many different types of music, including heavy metal, EDM, Hip-hop, eurobeat and house.
I am an all round nerd who loves technology, maths, science, and virtually all other things that geeks and dweebs love.

Question for any #blind folks who use a Shadow PC in the cloud. There's an outside chance my income could improve somewhat, and if it does, I'm considering getting one for myself. Before I do, though, I need to know how accessible the clients are.

They are workable, but that's about it. iOS is the best, with Windows and Linux a close second.

@fireborn I won't be able to do iOS, as I have no adapters or controllers that can work with it. Might have to see if my bluetooth is finally willing to work. I can definitely do Windows though.

Will demo the windows client. Unfortunately the quick menu for enabling microphone passthrough etc isn't accessible, and it's not possible without hitting ctrl alt delete and then opening task manager to get focus back out of the shadow window.

Yes, or use some way of forcing another window to open that can't be intercepted, hence ctrl alt delete and task manager.

@fireborn Can't connect USB either or copy/paste anything, so the only way for me to get files to the shadow is to use a cloud shared folder.

@fireborn Given this and the fact I wasn't really using it, I just canceled mine. Not worth it IMO. My primary use case would be running something that needs a bigger GPU.

@x0 My primary use case was using on the go with a foldable keyboard connected to my phone, but the Lunar now fills that use case, so I'm also going to cancel.

@fireborn @x0 Now this looks very, very interesting. Thanks for sharing. Does this work like I think it does, so without having to connect a screen of any kind when"you don't need"it? if so this might be my next laptop / portable computer solution. 800 dollar isn't bad for the specs, but a bit to much for me to throw into a for fun project. One question, how's audio? Can you connect headphones, does it have a speaker?

@jessewienholts @x0 no speaker, but you can connect USB C headphones. I've found this is actually quite a good solution, because if you ever lose audio, all you have to do is unplug and reconnect the headphones to force windows to choose the last device connected. There
