GitHub has deleted an issue I was working on *again*.
Beyond frustrating.

I just lost access to a substantial amount of issues on one of my #GitHub projects.I would appreciate if people could help upvote github.com/orgs/community/disc… to get more attention.
GitHub staff won't even tell me how much data they've hidden from me, which is quite discouraging :(

in reply to Sylvia • • •Oh come the fuck on, GitHub. What is this ridiculous nonsense.
"No, the issues aren't deleted, they're just hidden."
"No, you can't see them, I'm only letting you see one of them by exception, which shows I can clearly give you the data but I refuse to."
"If you hate this, make a policy change request, which you did and we ignored for almost a full year already."
I understand Rocky as level 1 support can only do so much, but refusing to give me info for all the issues I asked is abusive.

in reply to Sylvia • • •WTF. They can hide them from public view, that would be OK (in a way). But hiding them from the repo owner? Maybe collapse with a comment, so the owner can decide to see them or not (like CW here).
This indeed is ridiculous. Glad I moved my repos to @Codeberg years ago.

in reply to Sylvia • • •I would just abandon that self-destructing-vibe mess.
I've had a notification that I can't remove for months now, because they "hid" it due to being a spam.
They said I could mark it read via it's API but I never bothered since I've left GitHub. You might wanna try to dump the issues via the API.

in reply to Jerry Lundström • • •@jelu Moving is not that easy sadly, and I already am short on time to maintain my projects, I don't want to add even more tasks to the todo list.
I can say however that I'm very glad that the IzzyOnDroid team standardized on Codeberg so more and more of my time is spent on Codeberg instead, which is great :)
