There's just a thing about buttons that is so satisfying compared to a touch screen. I like the feedback it gives me when I press a button and it clicks or I just feel that little push indicating that I indeed pressed a button. This is why i'm seriously considering getting the Hable one or something like it if I can find an equal product for cheaper. #Blind

May I introduce you to Metabraille an open-source, mobile Braille-Keyboard. That is a Bluetooth remote control for your Smartphone. The assembly is optimized for people with blindness or visual impairments. gitlab.com/metabraille/metabra…

@oskar_mbr This is so cool! it seems its a prototype though so I can't buy it.

@oskar_mbr How much are you charging for this? and how small is it? COuld it fit in both hands comfortably and does it provide full functionality with iPhone's gestures as well as a braille keyboard for typing?

Metabraille assembly kit costs €180. Dimensions are 125 x 95 x 25 mm and fit comfortably in both hands. Implemented are the signs that are possible with a PC-Keyboard. Input method is German Computer Braille grade 1.

@oskar_mbr I'm from the US. I don't know if German braille would work for me.

English braille grade 1 is planned but not yet implemented.

@oskar_mbr Let me know when English braille grade 2 becomes a thing and i'll consider it.
