I've been wanting to make a Japanese maple bonsai for a while now. Local garden store has all their trees half off right now, so I snagged a Rhode Island Red Japanese Maple for $90.

But now that it's time to turn it into bonsai, something about taking cutters to a $90 tree ain't sitting right with me 😂😞
