Last week Israelis used the Malaysia-Singapore rivalry to create friction by saying Malaysians are anti Israel because Israel helped Singapore become its own state and has now prospered into a high income nation. They didn’t count on Singaporeans and Malaysians joining forces to fight back the claims.
People who don’t understand ASEAN geopolitical issues fail to realize that ASEAN countries don’t necessarily go into political fights (because we all know each other’s dirty laundry so we keep that unmentioned).
We ASEAN citizens fight about our regional heritage claims and whose food is better (it’s Thailand and Vietnam)! They also called Malaysia a bully. Buddy, nobody gets to shit on Malaysians except us Indonesians. Nobody.
