The Simula One (a standalone VR/AR Linux computer/headset) does sound exciting but I’m not entirely sure how they’re going to keep the weight down to a level that’s ergonomically sound for prolonged use.

Seeing the very small demo, and the hardware, it's not worth that money. The cheapest option buys you a small gaming rig and a HTC Vive.

Though the software looks more interesting than the hardware.

Valve plans to put their experience of steam deck and valve index together, or so some rumours say, maybe SimulaOS could be an interesting alternative to "steamOS vr"
