Very honest analysis from the #matrix presentation at #fosdem. Chasing shiny things is fun, but it doesn't help mainstream adoption or core development.
@ansiwen the learnings from dendrite basically got backported to synapse. (and dendrite is continuing on a best-effort basis, and hopefully will be funded again some day).
@jezdez @robin the "killer app" being discussed was literally a compelling, native, workhorse client :) no intention to imply it was something novel - just the opposite, in fact.
