✅ Tusky 25.0 is officialy out, in F-Droid and Play Store 🎉 🎉 🎉

These are the main updates to this new version:

➡️ Support Mastodon translation API
➡️ Show post language
➡️ Improved screen transitions
➡️ Filter settings now moved to account preferences
➡️ Post stats now have a stable position
➡️ A lot off under-the-hood stability & performance improvements.

❗ Also, #Tusky 25.0 app is smaller in size despite having more features.

it's a pity I cannot see the possibility of translations on tusky, I have no idea why. It works with Pachli and both apps are very similar.

@everton137 maybe your instance doesn't support translations yet. If not, check the menú that appears when you click on the three dots at the bottom right side of each toot. The translation option appears in the menu, third option.

@Vivaldi's instance has translation: social.vivaldi.net/api/v2/inst…

I have the latest version of Tusky installed, and before I was using the beta version. I tried to report this on Matrix with screenshots.

Using another app, @pachli, I can translate posts. Also on @elk. And I see the message 'Vivaldi translate', when I use the translation on those two apps.

Btw, are there any plans to add a function to see instances? For example: add a custom tab that show the public timeline of some instance 🤔

The only thing I miss in Tusky is Material You support. Also the icons can have in my opinion an update.

been using tusky since I joined mastodon and haven't looked back. recommended it to several others as well. it's a solid app that does everything you need it to without being filled with garbage, which is a rarity these days. appreciate it!

one feature I'd love to see is server emoji sorted by the categories the server has set rather than by alphabetical :humgry: :FingerGuns:

@Rii_cck maybe your server doesn't support it. By the way, if it does, you will have the option to translate the toot appearing in the menu activated when clicking the three dots that are on the bottom right side of the toot you want to translate.
Anyway we are going to monitor this situation

I was a big fan of tusky, but unfortunately had to switch to another client out because I was spending too much time on the trending tab. The big draw of mastodon to me originally was the lack of algorithms.

Will it be possible to customize the contents of side menu and hide the trending options so they're not as easy to access?

is there a way to adjust the new post stats change so that it doesn't show 0/0 on every post without interactions, instead only showing x/y once it has at least one like or boost? it looks kinda awkward in long conversations where nobody's using those features. (and no I don't want to disable metric display entirely)

unfortunately App crashing at opening after update 😱😭 on all devices!
Manual stop App and Clear Cache also doesn't help.
Only delete all data with loosing everything works, to get App running again.
Too sad 😢
Used it with multiple Accounts and any single one need to be setup again.

Hi, I never have a number of unread notifications next to the bell icon on main page (like it is on the web version), is it the normal behavior for #tusky ?
