Is #Linux Mint still good?

I'm trying to decide which Linux to go for on my desktop. I've used Mint before but a very long time ago.

Please do not fill my replies with techy talk. I want something easy.

#linux

Mint is good. If you have an NVIDIA graphics card (something with gtx or rtx in it’s name) I’d recommend Pop! OS for an easier time getting started.

I think my graphics card is Intel.

Someone else recommended Pop! OS and I had a look at it but I kinda hate how it looks. It looks a lot like Mac, which I find really unintuitive, and hate the dock thing they've got. Also hate all the swipe actions and stuff.

I can understand that entirerly! If you don’t have NVIDIA, Mint shouldn't give you any trouble after install. I should have started by saying, I’m coming at this from the prospective of a blind user, so what I might consider good UX I can totally understand if you think is awful.

@fireborn thanks. I think a lot of it is just personal preference, I know docks and hand motion things are very popular with a lot of people now, I'm just old and I hate them! lol!

I hate them too. Pretty UI is usually hard to navigate UI. Animations? Slowing down the experience for asthetics. A mouse? Someone get a trap. Lol.
