I've been using #DuckDuckGo for nine years, but today I looked at European alternatives. #Qwant has almost identical results and is probably based on #Bing, as is DDG. #Ecosia has different results and does not match either #Google or Bing. Both are acceptable as search engines.
But I miss the extra features, especially the conversions. Qwant has none and Ecosia only has currencies. I miss Bang!s too.

Services like Ecosia or Qwant can't really compete with DuckDuckGo since they all rely 99% on Bing. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_… or just check your web server logs and see for yourself what crawlers have fetched your website during last week.
Personally I use multiple search engines (via Firefox address bar search functionality) including DuckDuckGo, Mojeek or Marginalia.
