I just watched the second season of the #Foundation #series.
I very quickly realized it was shot in #Czechia. Everyone living in #Prague have to recoginze the New stage of National theatre and the old building of National theatre in the background.

The old building of the National theatre from Prague opened in 1881 as a bacground in the scifi series.

Prague's New stage of National theatre used as a random building in the background of a Foundation scifi series taking place on remote planet. It was built in brutalist style. It has a shape of huge box with beveled edges covered with huge glass blocks.

I've noticed the same thing first but missed the stairs. The end credits are full of Czech names, and there is even a Czech Film Fund logo at the end.
