Does someone of the #cyclist community of #NYC know who maintains (orbmaintained) ghostbikes.org ? It seems somewhat unmaintained and I'd like to convergence them with #OpenStreetMap (esp with https://mapcomplete.org/ghostbikes ) #ghostbike

I've nothing to contribute except that I love and support this idea.

The facebook group shows activity within the last ~2 months https://www.facebook.com/NYCGhostBikes - looking at one of their events from many years ago might help find some actual members: https://www.facebook.com/events/880294445414090/ maybe author Jessie Singer (whose book I need to read) can help? http://jessiesinger.com/about.html

I’m trying to remember, but it escapes me, as I’m 4.5 years removed. You could check with Trans Alt or Times Up. Ghost bike work days happen(ed?) once or twice a year at a church in Greenpoint — I think there’s a Facebook group? And if you can find Ellen Belcher & her partner Philip, or Mirza Molberg, they might be able to tell you.
