our team manages the maps used in the seafaring management software. One of the selling points of osm is that has sea borders 😁

@mraiur oh, cool! Well, it has more then that too. You're no doubt aware of openseamap.org ? That is all OpenStreetMap data as well, except that it visualises boys and lighthouses etc.

@mraiur You should be able to use their overlay as well in your app. Send them a message to ask what is allowed.

We used osm2psql to generate and serve them with mod-tile without the need for realtime rendering
