This is so sad to learn. It was a long battle for her. May she RIP.

This news is devastating...Known her since she was 10 and I was 14. Though we're both blind, I actually met her through my younger brother who was in the elementary school band with her. We'd drifted apart in recent years, but maintained a pretty strong bond for close to 30 years. A great human who will be sorely missed.

@countrymetalhead I definitely did not know her as well nor for that long, and I assure you that even that removed I agree it is a devastating loss.

@DavidGoldfield Truly, one of the fiercest, kindest people I've ever known. Also a bad-ass sound engineer. For proof, listen to Gavin DeGraw's 2011 release Sweeter. She was trying to arrane for my ex and I to meet Gavin on that tour, but wound up breaking her leg on the day of the concert. Talk about bad luck.
