I use hashtags. I sometimes find them quite useful. But I really can't fathom those posts, particularly on Facebook and Instagram and particularly self-help or lifestyle or similar, which use a whole bunch of them with no real searchability or categorisation benefit that I can see. And all in lower case. #waytoomanyhashtags #whatseventhepoint #absolutelyridiculous #thesedontmakeanysense #donttheyhaveanythingbettertodo #bigunintelligiblebluroftext #whynotjustmashthekeyboard #utterlypointlesssnark

What seven the point!? That's half my issue with crypto bros using #NVDA - I understand the context, but no-one actually searches for info on NVIDIA shares (on social media) using that hashtag therefore, why use it, when the is a well established use for it in a completely different context. I've had slightly more success convincing people of that on this platform than the dumpster fire which is what was twitter
#nvda

I mean, I guess it's possible, but my thinking on it is. If I invest in ONLY Nvidia shares, I'll probably follow their official accounts and / or one or two companies who closely track them AND I TRUST. If I buy (or am interested in following) shares from 30 different companies or every major tech company, etc, am I really going to track every possible hashtag for all their stock tickers and names etc? Maybe if I worked for Nvidia's social media team, I might follow it.... but if I did, I'd probably see that even then there are more people posting about the screen reader than anything else under NVDA.
