I started a documentation repo for #FOSDEM advise - for new and old visitors, attendees and speakers. I figure we can crowdsource it so bring your pull-requests. I will greatly appreciate help.

If not, I will populate it myself slowly over time but it won't be as good.

As a #barefooter, I can mostly agree with this:

"Shoes
It's good to wear the shoes that work best for a lot of standing and walking and can handle rain and some puddles (depending on the weather). These might not be the best looking shoes you have (or they might be) it just needs to be something that once you put on you won't have to think about until you take them off, which will probably be hours and hours later."

Not sure about "might not be best looking" bit, but I guess that's in the eye of the beholder, and there's also "or they might be". I guess anyone can have a bad feet day once in a while. So, fair.

#FOSDEM folks, one tip: I’m not usually one to preach about masking, but air quality in the devrooms is terrible, ventilation nonexistent, and flu season is reaching its peak. Mask😷! Take it from someone who failed to do so at a conference last week, and is spending 4 days and counting miserable in bed (and it seems to not be getting any better yet)
