I love #matrix, but here are some criticisms for it I just read, hope they get acknowledged by the community and the foundation @matrix :

almost every point on that page is wrong, unfortunately. someday these factions in the xmpp community will wake up and realise that facebook & co are the enemy, not Matrix :|

This seems like one of the worse criticisms written for Matrix. There are many advantages of XMPP over Matrix, but it's never about the war between XML and JSON, or the ability to seamlessly bridge to IRC. This article seems to be written out of pure hatred, instead of in a mind of constructive criticism.

@PeterCxy thank you both for clearing it out, it did feel like written out of targeted anger. What would make someone get so angry over matrix tho?

@PeterCxy because they like xmpp and feel matrix threatens it, despite matrix being a totally different approach (decentralised conversation db rather than messaging protocol, basically).

@PeterCxy If that is a case, i'm confused given that i love #xmpp just as much as i enjoy matrix and dont see them as a competition.
