DWP to get power to lift money from bank accounts. It seems Labour are adopting the Tory view that all Benefit claimants are scroungers out to defraud the state. Will they apply similar rules to tax dodgers?
Given the DWP’s track record on dealing with disabled people, I’d say the chances of these new powers being abused and misused are pretty high.
