I needed to upload a copy of my signature, and wound up writing an #accessible web app to help. I figured someone else might find it useful, so have fun: sclower.github.io/accessible-s…

@TheQuinbox This is really cool, but I wonder how useful this will be because it seems like most things that require your handwritten signature either have their own web signing tool that uses the mouse and doesn't let you upload an image, or they give you a PDF and say you must handwrite your signature in a specific place. Your web app will let you write your signature in an accessible way and then export it as an image, but it doesn't seem like it can draw it on another signature tool or insert it into the right area on a PDF. In the past, I've used the NVDA Computer Use add-on by the VOCR developer that uses the ChatGPT API to control your computer, and just had it forge my signature in the box, or for a PDF I've used AIRA and had the agent put a printed signature in the right place with the Adobe tools, using RIM. But it would be nice to have something better if there was a way to get the image from this app into another signature drawing tool or into a PDF at the right place. I wonder if the NVDA Computer Use add-on or Claude Cowork could copy your signature from the image into a signature area by copying the strokes exactly with the mouse, or if you could use AI (perhaps Claude Code or Cowork could do this) to insert the image in the right place in a PDF. But otherwise this is really cool and hopefully it can help solve this problem, because it is extremely annoying when something asks for my handwritten signature and I often end up spending so much time trying to figure out anything that will work.
