I’m curious as to what the rationale for JS-based client-side comments are over just including them in HTML during build-time with data templates. I’ve been doing that on my site for years.

@Seirdy Uh, because the site will then only include the comments which have been posted before the site was built. Everything after that is not included.

I don't know how often your website is rebuilt, mine usually only 2-3 times a week.

Ah, that makes sense. I trigger a rebuild every time I approve new comments.
