@cryptoparty ich bin überrascht, dass du diesen Artikel repostest - kannst du mir kurz erklären, wieso du das für sinnvoll hältst?

Okay, explaining why private mode does not make you anonymous is good.

However, compared to normal browsing, it has its advantages. So, I don’t understand why the recommendation would be to turn it off.

Some of the mentioned alternatives also suffer from the same criticized issues.

In contrast the payed iCloud Private Relay service combined with the iOS Lockdown mode and Safari’s private mode does prevent most of the issues (if users trust the proprietary software)

Some of your criticism can be managed by subscribing to iCloud+ and using Private Relay.

For 1€ per month it's cheaper than most VPNs and also includes 50 GB of client side encrypted cloud storage.

It's decent privacy for value and usability.
For sensitive occasions Tor, Tuta and GrapheneOS

regarding Firefox, I would remove it from the list as Mozilla faces GDPR Complaint over Firefox tracking users without consent. They are even moving to advertising blog.mozilla.org/en/mozilla/im…
