don't disable Google apps. Just replace all of them with Foss apps 😊.

I would love to uninstall all gogle services off my phone. Even youtube because I dont use it. I really hope the EU puts enough pressure on this matter.

This has always been my pet peeve with Android. Apps part of the OS install can't be removed, only disabled - even though they are just apps.

So if I understand correctly, Google was forced to do it too? I remember when Apple had to do it, and I thought back then that it's a much bigger issue in the Android ecosystem. Anyway, good decision!

Uh we should've guessed when Google marketed don't be evil... What they meant & missing from it was "Don't be evil, become the evil". Regardless it was funny how many "smart" people (calling their own company's slogans silly & unworkable) just believed a corporate slogan from another cus they were the new "cool" kid in town.

This is part of why I love @GrapheneOS ! No Google!

I only noticed recently on a phone at work. Having all my personal devices on #LineageOS since day 0 I didn't even know these things came preinstalled. I can't imagine why someone would keep stock Android on their phone, some people are weird
