Thunderbird: Free Your Inbox
Absolutely, we're committed to offering it on F-Droid even after it evolves into Thunderbird.

That is great to hear. Glad you are determined to give us options to choose from, as you do in many other areas. Great work.

What about providing a # compatible repo for the betas? This would ease and encourage users testing #/k-9. In the long run it can be useful for you for providing betas, previews, etc.

thanks so much for your contributions to open source Android email! I'm curious to know if there is a roadmap for what features or other work is desired before changing the branding to make it officially "Thunderbird"?

Right now there's a minimum set of features we'd like to implement before that happens:

-Account setup using Thunderbird account auto-configuration.

-Improved folder management.

-Support for message filters.

-Syncing between desktop and mobile Thunderbird.

We have some other questions answered here: https://blog.thunderbird.net/2022/06/faq-thunderbird-mobile-and-k-9-mail/

Awesome! I tried K9 on f-droid like, 2 weeks before your announcement and uninstalled it for lack of 0Auth integration.

I'm getting into FOSS, but I'm also lazy. So this will be the best of both worlds. :p

"Available on F-Droid" : this fact makes my day!

Thanks a lot for your work & commitment!

I really appreciate the effort and new direction # is receiving recently. But for me it all comes a little too late as I have switched to # a year ago ...
