I used to depend on the Web to look for UNICODE characters, but not anymore. Now I use my system:

1️⃣ Alt + F2

2️⃣ gnome-characters

3️⃣ Type "lock"

And that's it. Very nice.

Once they add support for searching in more languages other than English, it will be great.

You can also go in Settings → Search, and enable Characters in the list of search results. Then you can go to the Activities overview, type "lock", and you'll get the characters that match in the search result

When you have the character showing up in search, just pressing enter will put it in your clipboard!
