I want to add even more devices to this collection, but some would be prohibitively expensive.

It's postmarketOS, but I installed my preferred set of applications

Any recommendations for a good, flagship like device to run. Linux distro on mobile?

@thelinuxEXP the OnePlus 6T on postmarketOS seems to be the best option. That's what's running on the device to the far left.

The 6T is the only one with hardware performant enough to use day-to-day (by my impression, I haven't daily driven any of these). The others have performance issues.

The base PinePhone is so slow that it's nearly unusable. The PinePhone Pro is faster, but throw something like a web browser at it, and it will choke after a few pages (or one page, depending on what it is). The Pro also has some pretty bad audio crackling issues (and base just has bad audio), while audio works perfectly on the 6T.

Thanks! That was one I was looking at, maybe I’ll get one to provide tests and reviews that aren’t on the pine phone, it just doesn’t provide a good experience for day to day use

@thelinuxEXP As a OP6T owner, I would recommend OP6 (which I also own), because of mainline audio driver. For the OP6T I just integrated the downstream GPL driver, so it could be better...

@thelinuxEXP

I own a OP6T that is currently being used by my mum and it is running #LineageOS.

Should I claim it back and install #Linux on it?

Which is the best Linux mobile distro? How can I get the cleanest #GNOME experience?

This is going to be a challenge. It is a miracle that she resisted so far without Google apps 👀

Any change is going to be hard and followed by maaaany complaints ahahah
