why would i want to do this? really, i'd like to understand.
why do you want to have your activities mapped out and linked to one another? why this obsession with establishing the one identity?
i can only think of reasons around branding, marketing and sales. to establish your credentials as a "contributor", as a "doer", as a "leader", to better position yourself in the supermarket shelves. fuck that shit.
We are a community. Sometimes, I'd like to get to know the people from OSM too in an informal context (e.g. here) or would like to discover that someone I meet here, is also active on OSM.
But ofc, you might have reasons not too link some identies together. That is completely fine, you know...

in reply to Pietervdvn • • •Ah yeah, what I meant was a simpler way of doing this instead of saving raw html. In here
openstreetmap.org/profile/edit
there could be an input like "Mastodon Account: _____" similar to the location inputs.
