#LibreOffice 24.2 is here! It's our latest major update, with a new "year.month" version scheme.

Will this new version scheme make it easier to figure out what version one is using and which one to download than the old "windy" and "ripe" or whatever weird non-standard terms Libre Office currently uses to confuse people? As long as I - a developer - need to RTFM every time I download an update to figure out which one to download, I cannot in good faith recommend Libre Office to my family or friends.

@libreoffice, the current version of the application is 24.2.1. Have you abandoned Mastodon?

@Raaf No, we haven't. You're looking at a pinned post about the latest major release, so that will always be at the top of our feed, until the next major release 😊

That's partly the trouble with pinned posts. The second post is also pinned and about a 2022 conference. Maybe unpin the posts so that latest posts do show at the top?

@wilhelm @Raaf Looking at https://fosstodon.org/@libreoffice we only see one pinned post (for the new major release). Where do you see the conference post? Can you share a screenshot please?

@wilhelm @Raaf For us, we see "Preview not available - Click to open" for the picture. And when we click it, "The Photo with id 129767158665fc1a166d977123024150 is not available." – So probably another issue, as we only have one pinned post 😉
