We can't say for sure, as we don't monitor users, of course 😊 But we can do a poll here on Mastodon...

And re: green-on-black, that was pretty painful on the eyes! And those were old CRTs too. Well-designed dark modes on modern displays are arguably much easier on the eyes. In any case, it's there for those who prefer it!

Yes, and it get's better and better.

A year ago you couldn't read some symbols and changing it was a hazzle. Now it's much better. :)

I've been using it in LO 7.3, and it's wonderful.

Question: do I need to take any steps to preserve the personalizations and added extensions & fonts when I upgrade?

I turned on dark mode in #LibreOffice Writer - could not stop writing stories about vampires being driven slowly mad by their solitude. 🧛 🤪

what is icon set? On Ubuntu (libreoffice from flatpak) default look worse than on this picture.

Wow, that is a great feature, thanks! I remember years ago I was trying to do some hacks to make LO dark and it kinda worked but was still meh.

@OhWeh
I have to admit, the old green on black really held so much magic for me. Accomplishing the simplest task made me feel like I had tapped into some sort of ultra secret technology. It's absolutely not the same; but, it's dark mode for me every time.

@adidev I'm not sure dark mode looks any better on 7.6. Still kinda ugly on my windows version. Looks more like "low contrast" mode rather than proper dark mode.
