@lovejenna667 Hello! That highly depends on what client (program, application, website) you use for Mastodon. But the idea is that you have no strict definition of DM here. When you write a post, you have the Visibility selector, or something like that. You'll have: public, followers only, unlisted and, the last point, direct. That's how you send DMs. But they are not encrypted.
