a new minor version of #deltachat_desktop is ready for testing:

- fixes missing emojis in emoji picker on :tux: & :windows:
- make <delimited@email.addresses> really clickable
- and updated to the new 1.110 version of #deltachat_core, which brings stability and speed improvements. @r10s experienced significant faster message sending for example.

This release will rollout in the next weeks when we find no issues, please help us with testing if you can.

In the next #deltachat_desktop release you will be able to change the emoji set via a custom theme:

Sure not trivial, but if you want it, there is a way now that does not require recompiling the whole app.

PS: This was a side effect of fixing a bug with the emoji picker font.

Context: if you follow #deltachat_desktop discussions on the #deltachat forum you might already know that we're planning to move #deltachat_desktop from #electron to #tauri in the future. But porting the desktop client is a big effort (our move to #jsonrpc was one step into this direction).
So I made this small sample project to check tauri out.
It's a nice side effect if the emoji picker is useful by itself, maybe we could even build a community for the emoji picker.

In other words, the bug where desktop (test version 1.33) kept scrolling to the top of a chat is solved now thanks to @jikstra.
That was one of the blocking bugs that are delaying the desktop 1.34 release.

We’re working hard on the upcoming 1.34 desktop release.
The bulk of the work was moving all talking with core to #jsonrpc api, which speeds up development and #deltachat_desktop itself.

The move to jsonrpc is also one big step in liberating us from electron, as we plan to switch to tauri.app in the far future.

Stay tuned for the new test releases in the 1.33.X release row.
