Image captured by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter showing Jupiter and two of its moons. Jupiter appears slightly wider than tall, with orange and white atmospheric bands and a large oval orange storm below the center. Two small bright spheres to the right are its satellites.

On Sol 1037 (three days ago) the Perseverance rover observerved this transit of Mars' smallest moon Deimos.
This timelapse was made from 177 Left Mastcam-Z images and shows the event at 10x speed.

Deimos transit - Perseverance Sol 1037

This sequence was from 177 Left Mastcam-Z images that were upscaled 2x using the Enhance function in Adobe Lightroom. According to the image metadata the transit was on January 20th and started at 01:32:18 UTC and lasted until 01:34:18 UTC.

In this image a crescent Mars from the perspective of the spacecraft. On the top right side, the North Polar Cap appears icy and dusty. What's cool about this image is the elongated (orographic) cloud near Ascraeus Mons. It's also nice to see the enormous Olympus and Arsia Mons along the Terminator. The surface is a dusty red, as you would expect on Mars.
