#Pachli Current has a quality of life improvement -- writing a post (either a new thread, or a reply) now creates a new task. In Android "tasks" are the things you switch between on the "Recents" screen you use to swap between apps.

There's a few scenarios where this is helpful.

1. You want to reference multiple posts. You can start writing, open "Recents", then switch back to the timeline, copy text from another post (or its link), and paste it into the post you're writing.

@daniel Yeah I use it with #Pachli and it works fine, thanks!

If you use #TalkBack with #Pachli I've got a question about including emojis when reading out an account's name.

Suppose an account has a name like "My name :blobcat:"

Right now the "blobcat" part of the emoji is read out when reading the name of the poster.

Is that useful? Or would it be better to strip emojis from account names before reading them?

  • Strip the emoji name (42%, 3 votes)
  • Leave the emoji name (current behaviour) (14%, 1 vote)
  • Something else (I've replied) (42%, 3 votes)

#Pachli 2.6.0 is now available. This version has a new "Suggested accounts" feature to find accounts to follow, improves filter support on #GoToSocial servers, makes parts of the UI more readable, and fixes several bugs.

See pachli.app/pachli/2024/06/27/2… for details.

Thank you to @mileskrell, @kallekn, and @bittin for their contributions to this release.

Coming to #Pachli Current soon, maybe by the end of the week - "Suggested accounts".

Accessible from the navigation menu, this shows you up to 80 accounts your server admins think you might like to follow.
