In the last days of 2023, I embarked on a hiking journey to the Canary Islands.
Renowned as a destination for tourists and beachgoers, these islands are also a heaven for hikers, and boast an array of diverse ecosystems, from coastal dunes to pine forests to volcanic terrains.
My journey took me along the #GR131 route traversing #Tenerife and #GranCanaria.

The terrain around and below the mountain resembles a giant bowl covered with the sparse desert vegetation.

The ground and the sea are list by the rays from both directions, giving them a feeling of unreality. The street lights from the distant towns further away, add a few more dots and lines to the overall picture.

#Winter is definitely coming and it's freezing where I am as I am trying to resist switching the heating on for as long as I can LOL.

But I thought I'd share this lovely wintery scene which I shot last winter in the #ArcticCircle in #FinnishLapland.
