Can someone explain this to me? The #Uber app said my driver was 1 minute away. I grabbed a bottle of water, stepped outside and locked the door. Didn't hear a vehicle, so I pulled out my phone. Same driver, same license plate number, now 11 minutes away. Just... how?
7 years ago, while trying to get approval to operate in cities all over the world, #Uber insisted that it would actually reduce traffic. Instead, Uber drivers cruise without passengers 40% of the time. Uber & Lyft no longer claim they reduce traffic, & now admit they actually increase congestion. So much for “making cities better.”
