Microsoft Windows Recall is not mandatory (yet) but starts in the background by default. It can be turned off by typing the following commands with admin rights:

DISM /Online /Get-Featureinfo /Featurename:Recall

DISM /Online /Disable-Feature /Featurename:Recall

This is for your info. It is upto you whether to disable or keep it running. "Recall" refers to the controversial AI-powered feature for Copilot+ PCs. This feature takes periodic screenshots of your screen including everything you type

Three men died in a car accident and found themselves at the Pearly Gates, where Jesus welcomed them personally.

He said, “To enter Heaven, I’ll ask each of you one question. Tell the truth, and you’re in. But if you lie… well, you know where you’re headed.”

He turned to the first man.
“How many times did you cheat on your wife?”

The man stood up proudly and said,
“Lord, never. I was completely faithful my whole life.”

Jesus smiled. “Well done, my son. For your loyalty, you’ll get a mansion and a limousine to enjoy eternity.”

Then He turned to the second man.
“And you?”

The man looked sheepish. “Uh… twice, Lord. I messed up.”

Jesus nodded. “At least you were honest. You’ll get a nice four-bedroom house and a BMW.”

Finally, He looked at the third man.
“And you?”

The third man sighed and confessed,
“Eight times, Lord… maybe more. I lost count.”

Jesus raised an eyebrow but said, “You’re forgiven. But your heavenly home will be a studio apartment, and your ride? A Yugo.”

A few hours later, the second and third men saw the first man—the one with the mansion and limo—sitting on a cloud, crying.

“What’s wrong?” they asked. “You got the best deal!”

He wiped his tears and said,
“I just saw my wife go by… on a skateboard.”

Apparently, all RSS readers are banned on Google Play:

Google added some restrictions to news app and I don’t see how Flym (and other RSS aggregators) could comply to that. For instance, Flym cannot provide a “valid and verifiable contact information” for the feed, nor it can assure that “each of the sources must meet News policy requirements”.

As of today, Flym updates on Play Store are blocked by Google. So I have archived this project in order to clearly show that I won’t maintain it anymore. I’m not aware of any official way of publishing an RSS client on PlayStore and do not have motivation to argue with Google.

Very early #OnThisDay, 12 Apr 1944, Odette Wilen parachutes into France to work as a wireless operator for the British Special Operations Executive. The SOE supports the French resistance.

Wireless operators were at the greatest risk of discovery, as their position could be triangulated whenever they were transmitting messages back to London.

Wilen evades capture by minutes and escapes over the Pyrenees. She lives until 2015.

The left shift key of my laptop has been acting erratically (it keeps registering as being active for ~1s after being released [1]). I tried cleaning the key today with alcohol but no change in behavior. Anything else I should try (besides learning to just use the right shift key 🙈)?

[1] before I actually noticed what was going on this was driving me completely insane when trying to enter my passwords

A friend told me it looked like it wasn't RTL correctly. So after some tweaking (and replacing ImageMagick by Inkscape for PNG generation as ImageMagick was ignoring RTL) I ended up getting a decent enough fix I think: github.com/CatimaLoyalty/Andro…

I can't judge if it's correct, but it looks better and fairly consistent with the translation file. So as long as the translator translated correctly this *might* be okay?

So I'm going to guess this is resolved :)
